Here’s where you find out a little about me (featuring a little me). Let’s start with the basics…

The basics

I am 24 years old and living in the big smoke although my heart belongs to Birmingham. I live with web designer @iamadtaylor and I really really want a cat. Growing up I spent a year living in Munich.  I am quarter swiss and a quarter polish.

I’m a Rabbit

I am  proud to be a fully fledged  social media geek which is why I fit in nicely at Rabbit, where I am a digital account manager. I spend my days thinking a lot about the social networks people like to spend their free time using…and the ones they haven’t yet discovered.

What  got me here

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2009 with a BA in Journalism, film and media.  A couple of years on, I still think my dissertation, Social networking and music: The impact of MySpace as a digital platform for discovery and distribution, makes a fairly interesting read (I did eat, breathe and live nothing else for 6 months).

I always believed social networking and digital media were the way forward and had a continued desire to be involved..daily, hourly, always, instinctively. I have  always submerged myself within social media in my personal life as well as being lucky enough to be one of the first to study it too.

What else?

I have a passion for all things pretty, which is why I love Instagram. You can find a collection of my favourite ‘grams at www.zoewithdots.tumblr.com.

I love practicality – things have to work. Geekily, I love spending time figuring out how to make things better.  At times this makes me a nightmare to be around (like when I get on a cleaning mission and I can’t sit still and clear things away before you’ve finished with them).  At other times being a slight perfectionist can be good. I relish improving the usability of things or editing and rearranging them to make more sense.  Sometimes this persona flies out of the window and I have an urge to kick back (I like gin and dancing).  By jumping off the idealist bandwagon you get to see things in a new light.
